Participate in Our Clinical Study on the Savanna RVP4X Assay

Excellence Medical and Research (EMR) is conducting an exciting new clinical study to evaluate the performance of the Savanna RVP4X Assay for detecting respiratory viruses, including Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV, and SARS-CoV-2.

By joining this study, you’ll contribute to advancing diagnostic technology that helps in detecting respiratory infections quickly and effectively.

Study Overview

The study will assess the accuracy and usability of the Savanna RVP4X Assay, a rapid PCR test designed to detect multiple respiratory viruses simultaneously. This assay is intended to aid in diagnosing respiratory infections through nasal and nasopharyngeal samples collected from patients with respiratory symptoms.

Objective

  • Primary Goal: Evaluate the clinical performance of the Savanna RVP4X Assay for detecting Influenza A, Influenza B, RSV, and SARS-CoV-2.

  • Secondary Goal: Assess the ease of use by minimally trained operators in point-of-care settings.

This study will contribute to regulatory clearance and improvement of diagnostic tools for respiratory infections.

Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria:

  • Individuals 12 months or older.

  • Experiencing symptoms of a respiratory infection, such as fever, cough, or nasal congestion.

  • Willing to provide one nasal and one nasopharyngeal swab sample.

  • Able to provide informed consent (or assent for minors).

Exclusion Criteria:

  • Recent Flu, RSV, or SARS-CoV-2 vaccination within the last five days.

  • Currently undergoing antiviral treatment.

  • Healthcare provider determines sample collection poses a risk.

Note:

  • If minors are enrolled in the study, their parent or legal guardian providing consent for the minor will not be eligible to participate in the study themselves.

  • Proof of legal guardianship or parental status is required to proceed with the study. Acceptable documents include a birth certificate, adoption records, or a court-issued guardianship order.

  • An ID, birth certificate, or passport of the minor is required to enroll them in the study.

Study Design

Participants will:

  • Attend a single study visit lasting approximately 15–20 minutes.

  • Provide nasal and nasopharyngeal samples.

  • Have their samples tested on the investigational Savanna RVP4X Assay.

  • Contribute to assessing the ease of use for healthcare providers operating the device.

Participant Benefits

  • Participants will receive compensation for their time and travel. Additionally, by joining this study, you’ll help improve diagnostic tools that benefit public health.

Referral Program

At Excellence Medical and Research (EMR), we value the trust you place in us and the community we serve. If you know someone who might benefit from participating in our clinical studies, we invite you to refer them to us. As a token of our appreciation, you'll receive a $50 reward for each new participant who qualifies, enrolls in a study, and tests positive for any of the following viruses:

  • Influenza A

  • Influenza B

  • RSV

  • SARS-CoV-2

Please Note:

  • The referred individual must be new to our system and not have participated in any of our previous studies.

  • Referral rewards are subject to change or cancellation at any time without prior notice.

  • Rewards apply only if the referred subject meets the study criteria and tests positive for one of the specified viruses.

Your referrals help us advance medical research and improve healthcare outcomes for all. Thank you for your continued support and trust in EMR.
